This comfortable accommodation is situated in a delightful spot in the village of Felindre, Carmarthenshire, once the centre of the Welsh Woollen Industry.

We are not far from Cardigan, a pretty market town, and the Coracle Museum at Cenarth which houses a collection of coracles. The impressive waterfall at Cenarth is a great place for a picnic. If you like boating, it is possible to canoe on the River Teifi.

If you like wildlife, a visit to Cardigan Bay may enable you to see porpoises, grey seals and bottleneck dolphins. National Trust properties at Mwnt and Penbryn are certainly worth visiting. There are many delightful coastal villages such as Llangranog and Cwmtydu.

The Teifi Valley has ancient drover’s roads and many small towns and craft centres to explore. Here, in Drefach Felindre, you will find the Museum of the Welsh Woollen Industry which explains how it all began (and ended) many years ago. Our nearest small town is Newcastle Emlyn, which has several inns and restaurants.

For bird watching and seeing otters, visit the Welsh Wildlife Centre, which is one of the best places in the whole of the UK to do this. There is lots to do in this unspoilt part of Wales. Plenty of walking, fishing, golf and pony trekking is here for the taking. We have a trout fishery close by where you can be sure of catching a good size specimen to take home.

The country lanes are normally quiet and the verges full of wild flowers. Otters swim in the River Teifi and if you have patience you may catch a glimpse of them. The coast is but a short drive away and then you can walk to many secluded coves and beaches.

There are several railways in course of restoration in Ceredgion and Carmarthenshire. The Teifi Railway operates from Bronwydd and runs regular trips throughout the season. Even nearer to home, we have the Rail Centre at Henllan where Thomas the Tank Engine can be visited and, sometimes, seen in action!
