The Welsh woollen industry started here. Most of the looms have gone now, but many of the buildings remain. The old mills and workshops still line the Bargod, Bran and Esgair streams that once provided the power for the machinery. There are many other places of interest to visit within easy reach of the holiday cottage.
There are many places to visit and the cottage is an excellent base for touring and making visits to the many little little villages, attractive ports and seaside towns offering all sorts of interesting things to do and see.
There are plenty of safe, sandy beaches ideal for family fun and activities. West Wales has lots to offer the active holiday maker including water sports such as sailing, surfing, scuba diving, water skiing and, of course, fishing.
There is plenty of angling available in both sea and river such as the River Teifi. If you prefer dry land, then how about golf, horse riding or pony trekking or even visiting the castles, theme parks and lovely towns for a spot of shopping.
For the not so active, we can point you in the right direction of the local pubs (the nearest is just 700 yards down the hill from the holiday cottage) or beach for a lazy day by the sea!
